Kalpesh Patel is one of the (former) Top Earners in My Shopping Genie (MSG).

Business For Home has warned against MSG in September 2010, see this post www.businessforhome.org/2010/09/my-shopping-genie-review-not-so-good/

This what Kalpesh Patel has send Business For Home:

NOTICE OF VIOLATION – MYNET UNIVERSE, INC.

Date: 13 June 2011 16:54:22 BST From Kalpesh Patel

Feel free to forward this to anyone putting their good name to these clowns…

So let me get this right……. MY integrity and actions are being questioned by the people below? Laughable to say the least….

They have not paid most of my distributors since January unless they were globals or they asked several times to be paid, even then it was a hard struggle…. I can provide dozens of emails if required, to this day hundreds of reps have not been paid in my team alone, thousands worldwide. They owe me over $50,000, emails to prove this too if it ever gets there. Nobody replies to my emails, calls or texts since they stopped paying me 5 weeks ago, have proof of this too.

They gave me the go ahead to open south africa and Germany saying new app will be ready in January….to this date…. NOTHING.

It's a pure illegal money game in most countries they open,  robbing people to cashflow their thieving bad habits, moving millions into offshore accounts, not new to them as you can see below. It's a cesspit of incestuous relationships between all of those below. They know each other, are related to each other and have done this EXACT thing 6 times now. Sweet tongues, facades on stage and smiles rope people in.

These people are masters of robbing people in MLM, I ignored so much because  of their ability to look you in the eyes lie with conviction, constantly pulling people back in on false promises. Speak to the original app designer and dozens of past leaders they have done the same to. They get rid of producers that know too much and ask questions. They will only pay those who are willing to lie for them.

As a legal firm you may want to look in the other direction and see if integrity allows you to work for thieves. If it does, says alot about your firm too.

Signed: Kalpesh Patel

Thanks for publishing this, Ted. We've been saying from the beginning that MSG was doomed to fail. They made their money by selling MSG businesses, NOT from the sale of products or services. We know this type of company first hand, having spent five years with Excel Telecommunications. Top earners thrived on constant expansion, making their bonuses straight out of the pockets of Ned and Nora Newbie. And that's how we spell pyramid.

PS Congrats to Kalpesh for speaking up! It takes courage and confidence, not to mention humility to admit a mistake and to try to warn others. We admire you, Kalpesh!

This post makes me laugh! There are ALWAYS 3 sides of the story!!! Party A, party B and the truth!!!! None of us will ever know the real truth... Those that are jealous will love this.... Those that joined and did nothing will love this (IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME). People dont stay focussed enough, no company is smooth start to present...

Great comment - we will never get the full story I guess so you makes your own mind up. That said, I am surprised that anyone using a company A meeting to promote company B from the stage should maybe ought not be too surprised if they find themselves terminated and lose commissions.

Kalpesh Thank you for coming out and exposing what looked like a great opportunity as the scam it is.

I joined this company after a long series of phone calls from a guy in England. Then I joined someone and my upline took the credit. The company and this person kept telling me they would fix it when I asked fro my money back. I enrolled another which would have started sending me commissions. They never came. Eventually I cut my losses and let them keep my money. Incidentally, when I advertised the fre genies google threatened to cancel my account. This was an exercise in futility that cost me reputation and money. I am not at all surprised that this has happened. Stay away!!

why am i only the one laughing at this?!! Classic. Anyone could have seen this was going to happen. This is not the credible networking industry just another in a whole line of online scams. money pyramids. YET again a group of people who were once credible have lost their magic. Dont say 'when will they ever learn' because greed always gets weak people. As for this con-man trying to be a 'great guy' blowing the whistle. Remember he's only doing it because they aren't paying him! he was one of the ring leaders, 10,000s of suckers lost their money and reputation. Patel will pop up fronting another scam. Why dont you have a file on these people? that way it will pop up on google search to warn people! Doesnt this make you laugh!!! As for the 'bruce is a man of god'.... what an idiot. Ted...put all those top earners on your WATCH OUT LIST. There must be consequences to them ripping off people..

The writing was on the wall . An app that doesnt produce any pay per click income, America never supplied one ounce of information when requested over 10 times. David Freed has apparently absconded already, William Shaw disowned any association from msg months ago. In the seminar i went to i was told it was one of the biggest revenue streams for charitys , what a load of bull . So what are we left with not much, except a dodgy pyramid with no product. I was sucked in, even though my gut told me it wasnt right when i googled the men behind this company the app did look good, but it didnt do anything special except save time for your average user. Top earners not being paid to try and save themselves a couple of hundred thousand dollars a month in cashflow. Sounds like the BIG BANG is coming. Well said Kalpesh, cant be easy after the hard work you put in to build their business, but also for your credibility.

OMG Its a very very sad news as another breach in trust of many people worldwide and a bad spot on the Industry. I am very concerned for the people who just started by putting in their hard earned money, Thank God i am working with a company that has not even a single case of NON PAYMENT to any rep globally from last 5 years. The Company, People running it, Product / Services provided and Compenseation Plan each thing has to be perfect for one to reach the dream. Most of the people fall in for easy and fast money trap. If anyone of My Genie wants to acheive his dreams i am ready to help in most of the countries in world specifically South east asia, i am working with the perfect company with amazing Pay Plan Propabally the Highest in Binary as far as i Know and Great People running it to back us up. Intrested reach me out to me on mvt.lmr@gmail.com. And Thanks Ted For Updating us always, providing the information of the Industry and helping everyone through out the world!!!

Some people jump into bed with more opportunities than a hooker - A company should terminate someone who joins a few other companies, causes confusion in the team and cross pitches more than an unnamed premiership footballer. It makes me laugh how someone one day says to me its the best thing ever and within weeks its the worst. when you point the finger, there is generally 3 fingers pointing right back at yourself, A leader who lost credibility within the team and the company, It was only a matter of time before they either jumped onto the next ship or pushed were overboard - using the great words - you are the weakest link - GOODBYE - (just to be clear some people will not be missed)

Isn't it funny that many people who come on the forum to offer their negative views are ready and waiting to "save" all and recruit you into their opportunity. Just going to show they are no better than the rest and just thinking of their own pockets. If i was to move to another company as a networker i would seek out a leader myself, not somebody who is happy to slag off another company for their own means. Network marketing will never get the reputation it deserves until all marketers get behind the profession as a whole. It makes me sad that people get behind their company to the detriment or others. I love the products of MLM whether it is for nutrition, perfume, utilities, travel etc. etc. If you are in another company spread the word on their benefits and leave others alone. You are just a cancer.

Having had this link several times today already and followed the post - I completely agree with Dorinda Bourke , The genie is a LEGAL company, we are and will be solid as a team and fully support the corporate. To address the balance - I have been paid on a regular basis from the company and all payments are upto date - Some people use forums etc for their own good, they forget about the real people building a business which may be effected by lies and rumours. I wish you all the best in your chosen company - Genie distributors, whichever line you are in, you are in the right ,place lock arms with your leaders and build through any negativity.

People... get your facts right. I was one of the people in MSG who was approached to try another MLM biz opp... TalkFusion and I blatantly turned it down. You see when greed comes before integrity you are bound to fail and be terminated from a great biz opp like MSG. I was approached to join TalkFusion and I turned it down because I want to focus on one biz opp at a time. Top MSG earners used MSG platform to cross-promote another MLM. You tell me the truth... supposing you were the owner of MSG and your top earners used your platform to promote another MLM... what action would you take... I guess you will TERMINATE all parties involved. The pay-per-click works and I've received my commissions from it since I joined in September 2010. You see people don't want to put in the work and then when the business is not producing results they start finger-pointing. I make my living from pay-per-click and the Genie biz is only the beginning in Affiliate marketing. Again just last week the new Genie cloud-based app has been launched and OMG it works great. You'll find your click income reporting that's similar to the way Google reports your clicks and how much you've earned and a whole lot of great stuff happening with this company. If you think MSG is a scam it is your problem. To me it is the best biz to start with a little investment £130. Do you know how much it cost to start an internet biz... over £2500... for one week course and you are left to your own devices. MSG has great leadership and we will definitely get to where we are supposed to be in a few years time. To Bruce Bise, Evelyn Hopkins, Simon Brookes, Dorinda Bourke, Mark Levesque... keep up with the good work and God bless you. Daniel Dwase http://www.futuresuccessmg.com

Kalps Was it around January that you, and some of your team joined another MLM company with a Video email marketing product? But then you realised that the Genie are launching their own Video email marketing tool, so you decided that you have made a mistake, so you reversed your decision saying it was you that made the company bring out this excellent marketing tool ?? But you had already switched a lot of your team to the other company, and many of your team were left in limbo, and indecisive in what their intentions are ?? Some didn't return back to the genie full time, as they had already started the path with another company. You even wrote emails to your database apologizing !!! Do you not think My Net Universe would have picked up on this, around the time you said you were not getting paid from ?? Do you not think the company you switched your team to will pick up on the fact that you are now also doing another company (a 3rd company, or 2nd now should i say !!) alongside them, so i guess you will be making similar comments about them in a few months. I am so glad i joined this other team when I did. If i didnt, I would have probably quit MLM by now ! When people jump between ships, they are killing peoples dreams, not helping them to achieve them...!!! Steven Aspinall (www.geniemarketing.net)

Kalpesh tried to bully me and my team members into joining another MLM company because we said no to him he became very angry, I believe kalpesh has no moral standing to comment about MSG all he has said about MSG are all lies, he got what he deserves, he does not care about he's team members he only cares about his own pocket, Kalpesh only loves one person and that is kalpesh himslef. Every MLM has certain requirements you must fufill before they pay you MSG has paid every one and will continue to pay everyonewho has fufilled these requirement. kalpesh is a disgrace to the industry.

Who was it who said 'bad news' sells. This is a good case of that if ever I saw it, which is a real shame for the industry as a whole seen from my perspective of 19 years. Why don't people check their facts........ MSG is legally cerified by no less than the Vice-President of the European Direct Selling Association and former Vice-Chairman of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations Anders Berglund. For the record I have never had a problem with income being paid and I agree with everything Alan and Steve have said above. The unethical behaviour is not from corporate but from the terminated distributors who were certainly not true leaders....what a sea-change from the Burlings since their spots at the Leadership Weekend in February this year.

I have to commend you Dorinda Bourke and Alan Platt for coming out and defending this great company! Well done to you both putting your reputations on the line that the genie is above board and 100% legal company. There is a solid team in place and great corporate support. I would only hope that Corporate would issue a press release explaining to us why William Shaw was terminated from the company. Maybe Alan you would get the company to post the press release in here. It would put a lot of our minds at ease those of us who use the genie as means of raising money for charity.

I have been reading all the different post that has come out today saying that MyNetUniverse is a disaster for the industry, but in my opinion it’s not MyNetUniverse that is the problem. I have been in MyNetUniverse for about 6 month and nether my team or I have had any problems with neither payouts nor support from the company. What’s really a disaster is all of you guys trying to get a personal gain by destroying what a lot of honest hardworking people have build up, just to get the chance to pull some of them into your own organization. Because that what it’s really about isn’t it. It’s really a shame that so many networkers don’t have the balls, to take the heat for what they do. If you want to join another company, or 2, or 3 then by all means do so, but be a man and be honest about it. Don’t be a coward and try to blame everyone else. When you try to sponsor other people’s downlines into other companies then every MLM company will tell you to stop and cancel you if you continue – So stop whining and start to build your business based on honest hard work. All the best to everyone

Lots of comments flying around here. Facts are Freed does a runner with cash, how many times have Bise and Freed teamed up, Either Bise takes cash and runs first or Freed, take a look at their history, what honestly makes you think they are going to change. Its seems quite obvious that the big earners are not getting paid except the ones flying the MSG flag high on the mast like Brookes and his team. MSG promised a new app 6 months ago + and never delivered but promised their leaders it was coming. Leaders recruit on the back of MSG promising the new app. New app doesnt appear, leaders are losing key people because they were told to over sell the new app. Now Freed does a runner with over $2million dollars creating a massive hole in their cash flow, so they temporarily suspend payments to certain leaders not prepared to lie about the new app hitting the streets and the (so called revenue it generates) and by the way its like 0c a genie which is probably paid from petty cash. I can talk from facts here as my immediate down line i.e 4 of my personally sponsored distributors have over 1000 apps between them. Imagine how they felt when the commissions were posted for 268 apps $34 dollars hmmm no where near the $3 sold to them and myself by a presentation full of lies. I agree with John earlier i also emailed customer support about income of the genie, and guess what no reply, big revenue streams for charitys, guess what no reply from MSG, how can charitys be earning income for 20c a genie maximum. My sponsor is a global , took him 6 months , he earns about $80-$120 a week , hmm not was told to us in our presentation. Guys look at facts and get your heads out of the clouds, the business is based round a virtual product that is not affiliated with Amazon, etc etc. Please do your due diligence and email these companies yourself , you will get a quick reply especially from Amazon. There is no affiliate with these companies. My genies were used for several purchases over christmas by friends and family from amazon , and i never got my commission, so i contacted them with order no etc, to be told they were not connected with MSG in any shape or form. The main income generated is from sign ups and subscription, not the product the App, draw your own conclusions from a very upset distributor with a team of over 500 . I really cant be bothered to go on anymore as ive had my rant now.

We have had very few dealings with Kalpesh Patel since we joined MSG one year ago. In that time he has pitched us for two other MLM opportunities which we obviously declined. We have always been paid by MSG we see the future as HUGE and for those who are involved stick with this ship and you will reap the benefits. We are 100% solid with MSG Hugh & Elaine Galt

Can we as MLMers learn to respect whatever company it is that we have left. Remember that at some point you were on the streets singing the praises of that company, and now its no good. If you are matured in the industry , you should walk away and go build yourself another team ie if you are joining another MLM.bear in mind that the name of this game is CONSISTENCY

Randolph Hill - Ambit Energy Consultant June 14, 2011 at 9:59 pm
It always sucks when a company makes promises and doesn’t keep them. Its worse when they act shady and sneaks out the back door like that. Its obvious that they seem to be running something similar to a Ponzi scam and when they couldn’t maintain it, the got out of dodge as my mother used to say. The good news is there is always another door opening when one is closing. So to all you distributors that have been misled by ShoppingGenie, you might want to take a look at Ambit Energy as an alternative. The company is solid, its built on and with integrity and it was rated the 2010 #1 fastest growing company in America by Inc. Magazine.

I have been in MSG since Aug 2010. Since then I have saved ££££££ on several items by using the so called NO PRODUCT (The Shopping App) WE have had two overseas holidays from the money earned. While we we on holiday in December we got paid . Here's how it works You get a licence to give away a shopping App, from which you earn pay per click whether an item is bought or not(ask Google how this works they have made Billions from it) and buy Income when people make a purchase. The NEW VERSION App which works on PCs as well as Macs is even better than best. The Fox and the sour grapes come to mind. Holding an MSG meeting and trying to push the attendees into another network at the end of the meeting is unethical we were there, we saw it and had to get our people out of the room. The network that was being touted as the next best thing for a huge pay out and monthly subscription, is a feature in your MSG business for FREE, a video emailing and web conferencing system that you would normally cost £££££ to run. I have always been paid. Talking to some of the people who weren't paid we found out that their "mentor" never showed them how to register to get paid and most of them don't know because they were never shown how to use their back office. As their money doen't flush they can apply for a payment card on which it is loaded for no extra cost or have it wired. I love this business, been in networking for twenty years and experience tells us when a person or even a national institution tries to discredit others there is usually an ulterior motive ! This suits me fine. There's enough MLM companies to go round no need to try to destroy each other. Everyone gets what they deserve, there's a group of people being dragged about and treated really shabbily by people who are supposed to have been their mentors and trusted leaders. We know some of them very well they are being dragged from one network to the other by the very people who choose to discredit.. 100% MSG Fantastic company !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gary and Wendy.

June 14, 2011 MyNet Holdings, Inc, MyNet Universe, Inc and Subsidiaries Re: Official Legal Position MyNet Universe, Inc was recently made aware of and received some concerning emails, one in which the author, "x", openly and vehemently disparages the Company. The policy of the Company is generally not to address statements which have a signature of "x"; however, after an immediate mode of discovery, the Company is fairly certain of its origination. Likewise, the Company principals normally consider it imprudent to give credibility to such statements; however, after discussing this with our legal team, the Company has chosen to issue the following information in regard to this current matter: First and foremost, the very statement of content of one of the emails ("received stuff from people here and there, over time, and links to websites explaining details") directly questions the truth, credibility, and validity of the information. We believe that the author of the email, Kalpesh Patel, has both a personal, self-serving agenda from perhaps trying to build his 3rd new direct sales organization (in the last 120 days) by stealing MyNet Distributors, as well as, a direct motive to bring harm to thousands of distributors worldwide with his statements. After numerous Distributor complaints and reports, Mr. Patel was asked by the Company to verify that he was not "recruiting" MyNet Distributors that were not directly enrolled by him. After a non response and further violations, Mr. Patel, did have his Distributorship suspended. To date, it appears, Mr. Patel's attack is what he has decided his response would be. The overwhelming content of the email is untrue, inflammatory, and has no factual basis-and Mr. Patel knows that fact. MyNet's Master Distributor Bruce Bise has been forthright and has addressed his history with Mr. Patel and many of you have spoken with Bruce also. Neither, Bruce nor any of his family members are account holders or signers of any of the MyNet Bank Accounts, nor have they ever been. Mr. Patel also is dishonest with his statements about commissions due, and, in fact, was assigned a position by his Enroller that gave his business a great head start in accumulating his MyNet earnings. His commission total for nine months is $119, 814. In regard to Nancy and Andrew Burling: They are guilty of the same violation (which now is public knowledge). The Burlings became Partners of John Van Duerzan who was assigned a position in the main leg of the Company from its Founders. That assignment assisted the Partnership in averaging $54,000 a month for every month, of the 13 months, they were a part of MyNet Universe. We find it interesting and disingenuous at best, that both of the Parties in this letter suddenly feel the need to "come clean" after their alleged inappropriate actions were brought into question by the Company. As long, as they were able to cross-sponsor and commit other violations of the Company's Terms and Conditions, they were happy to receive the commissions from MyNet. Once the company took a position, on behalf of and in an effort to protect its Distributors by enforcing the Company's Terms and Conditions, which threatened their income, they became willing to throw the Company under the bus by creating a propaganda campaign against us-and against you-jeopardizing your ability to earn income. One might ask, "What amount was the "head hunter" fee they received from their "new" venture?" Unfortunately this is a bad "pattern" in the Direct Sales industry. The Company takes seriously the actions of these former MyNet Distributors and their intent to disparage the Company and bring harm to all. MyNet Universe, Inc., along with other agencies and entities, is moving forward in a mode of discovery in an attempt to gather all the facts of what its damages are and plans to take legal action to protect its business on behalf of you and of every Distributor. Prudence tells you that it is easy to play sideline quarterback and criticize the Company through the challenges it has faced during the new management transition. Emails are not considered private speech. When a court finds a person to have libeled another, the court can charge him a fine for each and every time that libelous statement had been "published", i.e., each time that email was sent, or re-sent-by anyone. The Company has a duty to its shareholders, its employees, and its independent distributors to protect itself against all outside attacks, and it will do so to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Company also has a duty to protect its name, trademarks and business operations from Companies and/or individuals that choose to violate them. Regards, MyNet Executive Team

Some people are no longer in msg, put that into perspective - The company is bigger than any individual person. If you think this post started off with a letter posted on this group from someone who has been terminated by the company - If I sent TED a letter saying how good the genie was, do you think it would have been posted ? People hide behind disclaimers - To post one side without the other on the basis of hearsay in my opinion is wrong - It spreads negativity and the vultures appear - well, the meat on this carcus is not ready to be picked ( Sergei - good you have addressed the balance- and its great the company acted so fast in releasing that statement) -We have had amazing team response to this issue, that we know will blow over soon - The genie will continue to grow, just to put a point correct here also - THE NEW APP IS OUT and it does have links with the major companies and search engines -if you want to know who they are get an app and see for yourself - I bet a lot of the people jumping on the bandwagon have never even seen it. Those who say its a scheme, have you actually read our compensation plan and seen our product range, probably NOT. I wish you all the best.
