Herbalife Wins Athletic Russia 2014 Award

 

At an awards ceremony in Sochi, Herbalife (NYSE: HLF), a leading global nutrition company, won Athletic Russia 2014 Best Intra-Enterprise Project in Sports and Healthy Lifestyle award.

The annual national Athletic Russia award is intended to encourage businesses and organizations to promote and support the development of sports in Russia.

It was initiated by the Social Projects and Programs Foundation with assistance from the State Duma of the Federal Assembly, Russia's lower house in its national legislature, and Saint Petersburg State University's Department of Physical Culture and Sports. The Award identifies leaders excelling in the advancement of sport inspiring the development of sports infrastructure, and those raising awareness about the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle in Russia.

Herbalife received this award for its ‘Team Herbalife' program, which encourages and supports Russia-based Independent Herbalife Distributors to participate in sporting events, such as the White Nights Marathon and 10K held every year in June, as well as to promote the Herbalife® brand and products.
