Want to Sell a business?
Check your MLM Company's policies and procedures to see if the company allows the sale of a downline. If you can't find it in the Terms and Conditions or Policies call the company. Most companies allow the free transfer of a downline when it is sold. Some company's have a specific procedure to follow.
If your company says you can't sell your downline tell them to review the Federal Trade Commission cases against Holiday Magic and Koscot International. Both cases say that an MLM Downline can be transferred or sold. See also the website of the MLM Distributors Rights Association (DRA) and the Bill of Rights: http://www.mlm-dra.com
"Distributors have a right to sell, transfer or will their independent contractor business to any party that would qualify as a distributor under normal conditions".

To get listed on the website is $25 for 1 month or $60 for 3 months. If a qualified buyer contacts you we charge $50. When a deal is closed we charge 3% over the contract value (selling value).

Why would you buy a Direct Selling business? A scenario:
Binary compensation plan:
There are business owners who have sign up during a pre-launch got (ten) thousands of people in the downline / powerleg as a result of overflow / spillover, but are for what ever reason not prepared/qualified to build the profit leg. If you are taking over that downline you are in a good position to fill the profit leg and to cash fast. The advantage for the company and upline is that a "sleeping" spot will be active, so more revenue. The "Fresh blood" effect.
It also might be that a downline is balanced, so enough revenue in both legs, but the owner just want to cash.

$ Value of a downline
What is a downline worth? It depends on: downline size, overall Revenue, product groups (vitamins, telecom ect.) how residual is the commission, do you have to recruit to keep the momentum going or is your downline filled with stable business centers who recruit? Is your business growing, flat or dying? Is it a startup or a long existing company. The compensation plan, binary of unilevel , break away ect.

I think this could be a great service and the idea of building up any business to “sell” is the great American dream but buyers need to be very careful, especially if the seller is staying in the industry. We build relationships and people will follow others who have helped them build, especially if they feel the new opportunity has better value and is more exciting. Include in your contract that NOBODY from the other company can follow him and pay the deal over time, 6 months, to ensure the agreement is kept!!
