Water Safety Expert Joins ARIIX Scientific Advisory Board
ARIIX has announced the addition of Troy Scott, Ph.D., to the ARIIX Scientific Advisory Board. The Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of an exclusive group of extraordinary experts and professionals in scientific fields that help shape the decisions and direction of the global ARIIX brands.
Dr. Scott, owner and director of Hydros Coastal Solutions and Hydros Laboratories, is an environmental microbiologist and an international expert in the field of microbial source tracking. This is an emerging science that is designed to pinpoint specific sources of pollution using advanced DNA and molecular biology techniques. Hydros Coastal Solutions is an environmentally conscious restoration company dedicated to revitalizing damaged and eroded coastlines. Hydros Laboratories are equipped for the recovery and detection of all types of pathogens using state of the art methodology and equipment.

Dr. Scott graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in environmental microbiology and a doctorate in molecular biology/epidemiology. However, his expertise extends to the broad environmental sciences, including microbial ecology and coastal and marine sciences. Following graduation, Dr. Scott completed postdoctoral fellowships in the College of Marine Science at the University of South Florida and in Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University. During this time, he was exposed to several academic and professional disciplines that eventually helped to shape his vision of expanding his focus into developing a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary environmental consulting business.
