QNET – Fast Growing Asian Direct Selling Company

Sathi Senathirajah

QNET Ltd, is a Hong Kong based direct selling company owned by the QI Group.

In 2011 sales at QNET reached $430 million, according to a report in Forbes Asia. The company sells a variety of products including energy products, nutrition, watches, jewelry and vacation packages.

The Q1 Group was founded in 1998 by Vijay Eswaran, who was featured in the Asian edition of Forbes.

The company's marketing strategy for QNET follows a multi-level marketing model, depending on independent representatives to refer its products to consumers and receive compensation based on the sales volume of their referrals and the sales volume of other independent representatives in their teams who are arranged in a binary fashion.

Vijay Eswaran, the son of a civil servant from Malaysia, is a well-known motivational speaker and a prominent philanthropist in Asia. He occasionally contributes to newspapers in Malaysia and has written a book on life management.

QNET is a member in the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines. It has offices in Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and in the Middle East in UAE and has distributors in more than 100 countries including India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Côte d'Ivoire.

A personal financial portal in India with a long history of antagonism towards MLM is currenty attacking QNET, however the case seems to be without merit.

Vijay Eswaran: India has no legislation covering the Direct Selling Industry and this often results in problems. ONET has been in India since 2001 and has been advocating legislation for the entire Direct Selling Industry through an industry body known as the Forum of Direct Selling Companies and Consumers of India.

Sales at QNET India are projected to be $100 million for 2013.

QNET is the home of Top earners and Network Marketing professionals as Sathi Senathirajah, Arun George, Khaled Obbeya and recently Alexander Herr joined Qnet in Europe.
