Sami Direct, the Bengaluru-based direct selling company and a subsidiary of Indian multinational health science company Sami Labs Ltd, has announced its foray into the women beauty and wellness market with the launch of its skincare, body care and colour cosmetic range of products. The new range is called ‘Johara-the science of cosmetics’.
Free of harmful chemicals like parabens, sulfate, synthetic dye or formaldehyde. These products comprise of clinically relevant, standardised botanical extracts, which are also dermatologically tested, non-irritant and non-sensitising. In keeping with environmental norms, no product has been tested on animals and are created from naturally derived and lab-tested botanical nutrients that don’t leave harmful side effects like pigmentation and skin irritation.
“Care should be taken not to introduce commercialised beauty products that contain harmful chemical and ingredients. Keeping this in mind, we have stepped in with our skin-care and cosmetic range made from active components of ayurvedic herbs under cosmeceutical category,” says Muhammed Majeed, founder and managing director, Sami Group.
The products launched in the first batch include PhytoBright Whitening Regime with a cleanser, mask, dark spot corrector, essence, day lotion with SPF 20 and night cream. The colour cosmetic range includes 12 shades of lip colour, 14 shades of nail colour and nail colour remover. In the body care range, there’s a refreshing and nourishing bath soap, waiting to be used. Sami’s botanical research of many years, is now ready for public consumption.
