30,000 Distributors Attend doTERRA’s Convention

David Sterling, DoTerra, CEO

doTERRA, the leading global essential oils company, recently made history by hosting 30,000 attendees during its annual convention—what is now the highest attended corporate convention in Utah's history. doTERRA direct-sale distributors, known as Wellness Advocates, convened from 38 countries around the globe to take part in the annual four-day conference, predominantly focused on product education, strategic sourcing efforts, and doTERRA's international humanitarian efforts.

This convention is a celebration that sums up a year of progress and success for doTERRA, our partners, and the countless lives that are positively impacted by essential oils, and our unique approach to sourcing and philanthropy, said David Stirling, doTERRA founder and CEO. We look forward to improving the social, economic, and environmental well-being of all those involved for years to come.

At the convention, doTERRA's non-profit organization, the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation™, announced significant donations to three organizations that offer hope to millions around the world. A total of $500,000 was given this year to O.U.R. Rescue, an organization dedicated to saving children from sex trafficking.

A $250,000 donation was given to Days for Girls, a non-profit creating quality sustainable hygiene and health education for women and girls. A second $250,000 donation was given to Mentors International, a charitable foundation offering micro loans around the world with transformational program mentoring to impoverished entrepreneurs.

It's amazing to witness what we can accomplish throughout the world with the help of our passionate Wellness Advocates and employees, said Stirling.

We will continue to make it a priority to support groups that bring so much good into the world, and we are honored to be playing a part.

The doTERRA® Co-Impact Sourcing® initiative—a partnership with growers throughout the world that provides jobs, fair trade, and timely payments for their goods—continues to deliver positive impacts. During the convention, doTERRA announced that the program has created more than 18,000 jobs worldwide thus far. Two new oils, Spikenard from Nepal and Petitgrain from Paraguay, have been added to the Co-Impact Sourcing initiative, an effort to help economically challenged areas that are rich in essential oil resources build economic stability.

Wellness Advocates attended various education sessions at the convention, including a special presentation from internationally recognized sleep expert Dr. Robert Foster. Dr. Foster spoke on the critical steps individuals must take to achieve good sleep. Along with Dr. Foster's lecture, doTERRA announced a new sleep support product, doTERRA Serenity™ Restful Blend Complex Softgels, which has been clinically proven to help with occasional sleeplessness and improve sleep.

As the world leader in essential oils, doTERRA announced 29 new products, including reformulations and entire product line updates.
