I am married with Rosanne and we have a health/love story. She saved my life from smoking and drinking habits when we met in 2009. The deal was keeping the habits or keeping her. Fast forward 10 years, 2 house moves in 2 states, 1 dog and 2 kids later, we thought we had life figured out.

I was in my 20th year as a software engineer for a training software used in health care and other corporations. My wife Rosanne is a registered nurse for 15 years in critical care and now doing telephonic triage working the graveyard shift.

At some point, we got so busy with work and paying bills that we forgot to take care of ourselves. My wife already had sleep deprivation and could not get back down to her pre-pregnancy weight after 2 kids. To add to her stress, she could not save me from unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits.

Being overweight at 240 lbs. (109 kg), I ended up being on several prescription drugs to address my health struggles with gout and arthritis attacks, elevated cholesterol and blood sugar (A1C), and these drugs were also doing a number on my liver, with elevated ALT and AST on every lab test.

Our unhealthy physical state was also affecting our relationship and taking away quality time from our kids. We suffered from E.D. for sure, Everyday Drama! My co-pays and deductibles were also costing a small fortune.

We tried diet programs, and store-bought diet pills and shakes only to get barely minimal results, often gaining the weight back and then some.

Our life changing journey with Valentus started in February 2019, when we saw a family friend Archie Valera in Facebook showing his before and after picture. The before pic was like a pregnant man, the after pic was a slim and fit gentleman. We were intrigued, definitely skeptical, but we were desperate to find something that really works for us.

By end of October 2019 when the team achieved Double Diamond, our belief grew even larger as we learned that even as part timers in the business, our hearts and minds are all in with Valentus because of the right alignment and vision.

Now, with our new healthier lifestyle, it’s like getting the products we love for free and a paycheck for an ongoing course on personal growth. Our time working together as a team helps to keep our relationship strong and every day we prioritize and manage our time and efforts better so our kids get more quality time from us.

It’s like a breath of fresh air to gain our health and sanity back and a bigger blessing and feels more fulfilling when we get to pay it forward.
