Amway Strengthens Manufacturing Capabilities With Reimagined Nutrilite Spaulding Plant

Solid dose manufacturing operations are the latest addition in a $75 million investment.

ADA, MICH., USA – Amway, the world’s largest direct selling company, continues to innovate in its Nutrition category by completing a $75 million capital investment at its World Headquarters in Ada, Michigan. Amway’s investment includes the commissioning of a new solid dose tablet manufacturing and quality control lab in its Nutrilite Spaulding Plant, officially launched on May 6th.

“This new flagship operation represents the next generation of global Nutrition manufacturing, quality, and innovation capabilities,”

said Amway Chief Supply Chain Officer Brian Kraus.

“The reimagined Nutrilite Spaulding Plant marks a significant milestone and a major investment in our manufacturing infrastructure and innovation, positioning us for future growth and enabling the production of high‑quality, high‑performing Nutrilite™ products that support Amway Business Owners around the world.”

Expanding solid dose manufacturing at the Spaulding location required Amway to convert 52,000-square feet of warehouse space into state-of-the-art operations, housing more than 500 pieces of equipment used to produce Nutrilite™ supplements. Upgrades include V-Shell blenders and high-speed rotary tablet presses, as well as a high-speed two-capsule filling machine, to better align the plant’s capabilities with global manufacturing needs.

The $75M in total investment supports a Nutrilite portfolio of 877 individual SKUs spanning 136 formulas and serving 60 markets.

On May 6, the Nutrilite Spaulding Plant welcomed Amway employees and their families to an open house and ribbon cutting where Kraus was joined by Amway President & Chief Executive Officer Michael Nelson and Amway Chief Research & Development Officer Kristi Pelc.

“The Nutrilite Spaulding Plant is another step forward in staying on the leading edge of nutrition innovation and manufacturing,”

notes Kraus.

“Amway cares deeply about the health and wellbeing of our business owners and the communities they serve. We are committed to continually investing in their success.”
