"Beauty products distributor SeneGence International in Foothill Ranch topped the Business Journal’s ranking of women-owned businesses with more than $1 billion in companywide revenue last year."

In-N-Out Burger in Irvine, owned by Lynsi Snyder, was No. 2 at $926 million; Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel; commercial furnishings supplier Systems Source Inc. in Newport Beach; and electronic components services firm Rand Technology in Irvine, rounded out the top-five.

The 98 companies on the list reported total revenue of nearly $5 billion.
