Amway $1billion in Sales in June 2011!

ADA, Mich., July 13, 2011 Direct selling giant Amway reached $1 billion in monthly sales during June, breaking the billion dollar mark in a single month for the first time in the company's 52-year history.

Overall, sales are up across the Amway footprint, which spans more than 80 countries and territories. Sales increased in nine of the company's top 10 markets in June. Amway operations in China, Korea, India, Thailand, Taiwan, and Ukraine recorded double-digit growth during that same time period.

Successful product promotions, increase in brand awareness through global marketing campaigns and pricing adjustments are the primary drivers attributed to robust sales results.

We are experiencing an intense period of growth, and with fluctuations that normally occur in our sales cycle, we expect that momentum to continue, said Bill Payne, executive vice president and chief of staff at Amway. We're excited because year-over-year sales increases indicate that our long-term Growth Through Innovation strategy is clearly paying off. We're being smarter about how we work and where we focus our efforts. Trends indicate we could have another record-breaking year.

China, the company’s largest market, had record sales in June. In addition, a strong promotion of eSpring® water treatment systems in Korea and nutrition product promotions in Russia significantly increased sales. North America, Amway's home market, is growing and well positioned to continue that trend, driven by numerous, innovative distributor and consumer programs.

Alticor Inc., parent company of Amway, reported 2010 sales exceeding $9.2 billion – a 9.5 percent increase over sales of $8.4 billion in 2009 and Alticor's 10th sales increase in the last 11 years.

  1. Gentlemen,

Amway is a great company indeed but WHY is AMWAY not in NIGERIA?

Nigerians need Amway and Amway need Nigerians!

Amway is the only MLM company that I can do business with today.

I want to hear good news. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Kennedy Anyaeche

  2. In the UK versus Amway court case of 2008, they had to reveal the distributor earnings. Front page of Times newspaper explained that just 200 in 37,000 IBOs earned more than monthly autoship. The UK government called this a scam and took Amway to the high court to close them down.
Amway DID NOT FIGHT this!!! They move managers overseas, sacked nearly all Diamonds for no reason [yes, you read that right] then dumped the global compensation plan. Yes, Amway knew what was happening since 1973.
Because they did this, the UK courts found no grounds to close the company.
Amway then introduced a ‘retail’ plan in the UK… go onto the Amway UK site and download ‘income statement’ https://www.amway.co.uk/_fileserver/item/12616
GET a shock at the future amway…. 13,000 retailers and 1 Diamond who earned GBP63,000!

They used to earn 95% of income from the system!
    Thats why it got banned.

All this growth in the Emerging World is amazing for Amway yet how many are earning any money other than top leaders?
There is a reason why the public hate the Amway name and why this industry is embarassed if people associate their company with Amway. Amway = personal development cult where you make no money and lose your friends.

It is just amazing that so many people bow and scrape before them.
In SEAsia, they are not loved at all and most local Diamonds have moved on.

Incidentally Amway corporate and leaders think the rest of the industry are losers. Dont think they will do ANYTHING to help the industry that does not line their pockets.

You cant argue with their results, they are mega-amazing and they are pioneering emerging markets yet at what cost to our credibility?

  3. I have never been apart of any company in my life that has higher priced products. Sorry but I love the industry but believe Amway needs to lower prices so they can compete in USA. They havent given usa numbers for the last few years because it must be embaracing. Also there contract is worse than slavery. Be very aware of the contract you have to sign in any company but especially Amway.

  4. Dear Sirs,

I have been working with Amway in Brazil as an Amway Independent Business owner since 1994. I love the products and I learned to sell them to help people live better lives. It is a business like any other one, but based on high quality standards of technology, scientific development and research, with more than 700 scientists working day and night to give us the best. If one work harder will get more money, it doesn’t matter when the person starts the business. It is not true that just the leaders make a lot of money, anyone willing to work hard will get it. Besides having the best sales compensation plan Amway also have the best on line and personal training system focused on reselling, business building and leadership development. Anyone in the world who has a dream can achieve goals through Amway business. You just have to learn to acquire knowledge and desire to help people reach their goals. If you learn how to work and make money, and is a mentor for those who are willing to do the same you will see things working out well. But if you just wait things to happen you will not succeed. There are no limits for those who have the capacity to dream and the determination to reach their goals! If you believe you can it is true, you are right and if you do not believe, you are also right, because nothing is going to happen.

  5. CONGRATULATIONS AMWAY and all the distributors corporate teams and the lucky recipients of the dynamic products they offer to the end user. Nothing more reassuring than figures like 1 Billion in sales.
Seriously great for the industry no matter our vehicle Mine is Xango and I look forward to seeing the corporate team and all distributors celebrating such a humungous result as the Amway team in the decades to come.

Go Xango and well done AMWAY you have earnt the accolades

  6. I agree with Sampson that Network marteting industry is great, but not OLD Amway. I chose Agel!

    ????????, ? Sampson, ??? ????????? ???????? ?????, ?? ?? ?????? Amway. ? ??????? Agel.

  7. HI GUYS, AMWAY CROSS $ 1 BILLION SALES IN JUNE 2011 WITHOUT THOSE PEOPLE WHO SEE AMWAY PRESENTATION BUT NOT JOIN THE AMWAY BUSINESS. NO, PROBLEM OUR COMPANY IS GROWING WITH OR WITHOUT ANY INDIVIDUAL. WE ARE BREAKING RECORDS AGAIN & AGAIN. WHAT DO YOU WANT, PLAY AS A TEAM PLAYER OR WATCH US . ITS YOUR CHOICE . WE ARE RISING DAY BY DAY. HA HA HA HA !

  8. I have been talking to an ABO about Amway products and i realised that the products are really nice, although i haven’t tried any yet .The question is,why is something as huge as this not in Nigeria? I understand there is Amway in South Africa and a market as huge as what we have here in Nigeria in being neglected. Please i want to know if there are any Amway centers in Nigeria and how to become an ABO,bulid my team and have access to the products.

  9. i am Vietnam where Amway just started doing business i 2008. i have some Nigerian friends dealing in clothes and shoes, who like Amway products so much. However, they don’t have amway in their country.what a pity. i just started my Amway career last months but i love their values and i believe i will help much more people success and realize their dreams.
