USANA Announces Plans to Expand Operations into France and Belgium
SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA) today announced its plans to expand into France and Belgium in the first quarter of 2012. With the addition of these two markets, USANA will have operations in 18 markets worldwide.
According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), France is the world’s 10th–largest direct selling market, with estimated sales of more than $2.4 billion annually. USANA’s Western European office headquarters will reside in France.
Dave Wentz, USANA’s Chief Executive Officer, said, We are very excited about our decision to enter France and Belgium. We currently have a number of leaders and customers, particularly in our North America region, with existing ties to these markets. We expect this new expansion to support positive growth on both sides of the Atlantic.
USANA Health Sciences is a Utah corporation, founded in 1992 by Myron W. Wentz, Ph.D. USANA develops and manufactures high quality nutritional and personal care products with a focus on reducing the risk of chronic degenerative disease and promoting long-term health.

The primary product lines consist of USANA Nutritionals and Sensé – beautiful science(“Sensé”), a unique line of skin and personal care products. The research and development efforts are focused on developing and providing high-quality, science-based products that reduce the risk of chronic degenerative disease and promote long-term health. The research and development activities include developing products that are new to USANA and new to the industry, updating existing formulas to keep them current with the latest science, and adapting existing formulas to meet ever-changing regulations in new and existing international markets.
The company's scientific staff includes experts on human nutrition, cellular biology, biochemistry, natural product chemistry, and clinical research. These experts continually review the latest published research on nutrition, attend scientific conferences, and work with a number of third-party research institutions and researchers to identify possible new products and opportunities to reformulate existing products.

With nearly 45 cents of every dollar going back to Associates in the form of commissions, USANA offers a high payout percentage of profitable reporting companies in the industry. $93,000 is the average yearly income for an established, full-time USANA Associate. $24,500 is the annual average of those who earned as little as one commission check each month. Total includes all earnings from the Compensation Plan, Leadership Bonus, Matching Bonus, contests, and incentives.
