With 30 years of experience in the direct selling industry, Blue Diamonds Jim and Leslie Brown of Sarasota, Florida became accustomed to “being their own boss.” That independence gave them the freedom to raise a large family of six children and 11 grandchildren on their own terms. “Our work has always revolved around our lifestyle and that flexibility is important to us,” Jim says. “That was especially true when we considered becoming involved with Talk Fusion almost 5 years ago.” 

After moving to Florida to retire, they were faced with unexpected adversity: their intended retirement investment was wiped out, literally overnight; they suddenly found themselves with nothing. “At this age, when you think you’re going to coast for a while, it was debilitating,” says Leslie. “You think you’re never going to find a way to make a living again.”

An opportune phone call helped them reverse their misfortune. “A good friend called Leslie quite unexpectedly, and asked if she had ever seen or heard of Talk Fusion,” Jim remembers. “We were looking for a new source of income so the timing was perfect for us.”

Through their ordeal, Talk Fusion stuck by them. “Talk Fusion gave me the chance, literally, for about five months to be with my father and my mother in her last days,” Leslie recounts. “For me, that’s it.”
