Marisa Maggio-Harelson Achieves Elite Pro 8 Rank At LifeVantage

LifeVantage (Nasdaq:LFVN) has announced that Marisa Maggio-Harelson has achieved the rank of Elite Pro 8 with the company.

Maggio-Harelson, who joined LifeVantage in 2012, was raised by a family who taught the importance of hard work. But growing up, making ends meet every month wasn’t always a foregone conclusion. And according to Maggio-Harelson, it was a scarcity mentality that be deviled her for decades.

“My father was born and raised in a coal mining camp in Appalachia,” Maggio-Harelson recalls. “His father was killed in the coal mines, and his family was dirt poor. That legacy was passed down to us. I was always worried that there would never be enough money.”

After building a career as a successful broadcast journalist, Maggio-Harrelson decided she wanted to spend more time with her children. She began a communications consultancy and later became certified as a yoga instructor. It was while at yoga that she overheard a conversation about health and happiness, and she had to know more.

“I overheard another instructor talking about these health benefits she and her husband were experiencing,”

Maggio-Harrelson said. “I was blown away, so I asked her what she was talking about. She turned to me and said, ‘Don’t ask me, ask her.’ She points to this  woman, Kerry Williams, who I didn’t know very well but who was in my Monday morning yoga class. She gave me a link to an ABC Primetime report, and I watched it that same morning. I called her right away and asked if she could meet with me Monday after yoga class. We met and, literally, I was in.”

For Maggio-Harelson, that was all the convincing she needed. She never attended a meeting. Instead, she simply joined and got to work. Overcoming doubting family members and friends helped reinforce a deep-rooted belief in herself. It also connected her to a network of mentors and peers who helped her along the way. According to LifeVantage Chief Sales Officer, Justin Rose, this unbending belief in herself is laying the groundwork for more success down the road.

“Marisa isn’t just confident and determined, she’s an amazing person that people are drawn to,” Rose said. “She knows exactly what she wants to accomplish, but that always revolves around helping others. We’re proud of what she’s done. We also know it’s just the start.”

Today Maggio-Harelson lives in Phoenix, Ariz., with her husband of 21 years, Scott. Together they have two children, Haley Rose and Grayson. Achieving Elite Pro 8 after seven years feels like a “dream come true” for Maggio-Harelson, and she’s thankful she found, or in her words, that “LifeVantage found me.”
