Ken Dunn - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly Of Network Marketing

Ken Dunn, his business thrives because of what he learned in Network Marketing.

If there was a book written about his MLM career, it would be called The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of Network Marketing, but when we asked Ken what his biggest lessons learned in the industry were, the answers may not be what you would expect.

Ken first stepped into network marketing in 2003, after a 14-year career in investigative policing.  He worked full time as a distributor for over a decade, earnings millions in commissions, hitting the top of 2 companies comp plans and even co-owning a company.

Today, Ken is the founder of the Authority Factory and The Easier Life Mastery Event company. During his time, in network marketing, he learned that the secret to hitting the top ranks in any company is a combination of hard work, staying focussed on bringing new people to the table and avoiding the controversy.

“The biggest secret in MLM is staying focussed on bringing them in, keeping them in and moving them along.  What most people won’t understand is that this is the same “biggest secret” for success in any business”, says Ken.

Since Network Marketing, Ken has focussed on books and digital marketing.

“17 years later, I’ve seen a lot.  I’ve been stuck in the middle of a failed MLM company and publishing company.  I’ve also realized that it’s the things you learn in your darkest hours that define you.  It’s really hard to keep fighting when the world feels like it’s crumbling around you.  But, if you can keep moving forward, learning from your mistakes and fighting, you will inevitably win!  You won’t be denied.

Today, I own a major digital marketing training company and events business.  I’ve built friendships with some of the biggest thought leaders in the world and it’s all because of what I learned in Network Marketing:

  • Work hard
  • Keep Learning;
  • Keep making mistakes, but avoid making the same mistake twice; and
  • Never miss the opportunity to meet someone new!

The biggest single lesson I learned:

The more I study people around me, the more I see the areas I need to grow.  It’s not about where I am today, or where I will be tomorrow.  It’s all about the lessons I learn every day and my ability to keep working hard every day.

Ken just launched a new podcast called the Authority Factor.  He is interviewing the world’s top thought leaders, entrepreneurs and business owners.  The podcast launched with amazing interviews with Chicken Soup for the Soul Co-Author, Jack Canfield and the “Original Shark” from the TV hit series Shark Tank, Kevin Harrington.

To celebrate the launch of the Podcast and have some fun, Ken is running a $30,000 (cash and prizes) podcast launch contest.   The main prizes are dream vacations to the JW Marriott Beach Resort in Panama in January 2021.  It’s free to enter.  You win ballots for sharing the podcast with others in the first 30 days.
