Perhaps the most impressive thing we witnessed last year was the ability some companies had to pivot, rearrange, and come out more successful than they were previously. This is especially impressive when we note just how tough 2020 was on other businesses (putting many out of business).
There was one company, in particular, that not only managed to grow, but continued to establish a foundation of scientific validation, create new, meaningful products, and nurture its individual distributors, helping them reach higher ranks and build bigger teams. That company is Rain International.
We spoke with their CEO and Founder, Byron Belka, about their monumental year. This is what he had to say:
“We’ve always said that Rain is recession-proof. Our nutrition-powered products and unique social commerce model were built to withstand any dips or declines that the market could experience. But, 2020 threw an entirely new sort of curveball to us. One that, although we weren’t prepared for empirically, we were prepared for theoretically. We were curious to see just how our Rain Partners, and our company as a whole, would react to this pandemic.
“I can honestly say that we were in awe of what happened. Our company grew in meaningful ways. We were able to go through a complete rebrand, increase scientific validation, establish incredible partnerships and relationships, and watch our Rain Partners flourish and grow in wonderful ways. We’re not only recession-proof, but we’re proof that a company can grow during a recession.”
And grow they did. Rain, over the course of 2020, experienced a 22% uptick in growth worldwide. In response to health concerns and a deep need to boost immunities, Rain saw an overwhelming increase in the demand of their seed-based nutritional products. Consequently, testimonials of their effectiveness and importance grew as people saw a new need for them.
Then, as sales of their products increased, they began seeing Rank Advancements rise. They watched thousands of new Rain Partners achieve ranks (most of these distributors only started a few months ago). They also produced dozens of brand new upper level rank advancements among other, dedicated Rain Partners. Some of which were brand new Diamonds and Double Diamonds.
Russ Cowley, Vice President of Rain International, spoke of this growth:
“Our heart goes out to all those who have been directing affected. We have seen so many how have taken adversity and turned that info something they would learn and grow form. We were incredibly curious to see how our Rain Partners would react. It was slow at first. There was a reset.
But, we watched as wheels started turning, and product started moving, and our Rain Partners started growing their teams and businesses. The speed at which they were able to grow picked up, and their tenacity increased. We are so pleased with their ability to pivot and work in times of uncertainty. We owe much of our 2020 growth to them!”
To credit the tenacity of Rain’s Rain Partners for its growth may be accurate, but it seems modest. There were many more factors at play that allowed Rain to blossom during 2020. The relationships they were able to forge with the University of Maryland, a scientific body that has monumentally pushed nature-based supplementation, was almost as unprecedented as it was important.
They were also able to establish a partnership with well-known MD Dr. Templeman, an esteemed advocate of nature-powered supplementation. He not only brings years of experience to the table, but will promote, endorse, and help build Rain’s already-powerful products. This increased alliance with science helped Rain to grow, but will also work in their favor for years to come.
Additionally, Rain went through an entire rebrand. An overhaul of their look, feel, voice, and vision. This is an incredibly difficult thing to do in the best of times, but to accomplish it with such stunning efficacy during a pandemic is impressive. There is also talk of new products, enhanced validation, and better programs coming from Rain. Some conceived during 2020, others conceived as a result of 2020.
Although the future is always uncertain, we can be certain that Rain’s future will be bright. They’ve already kicked of 2021 with an exciting event, designed to train, motivate, and uplift their Rain Partners.
