Frequense CEO Barb Pitcock: Commitment To Network Marketing Business
An Open Letter from CEO Barb Pitcock: “Our Commitment to the Network Marketing Business Model”
“In recent weeks, the direct selling industry has seen some big changes, with companies opting to move away from the network marketing model and switch to an affiliate-based structure.
For many who’ve dedicated their hearts and souls to building teams and creating something meaningful, I know this shift feels personal. It’s frustrating, painful, and disheartening to watch the foundation you’ve worked so hard to build be altered overnight.
As the CEO of Frequense, I want to take a moment to speak to you—not just as a leader in this space, but as someone who, alongside my husband Dave, has spent over 30 years working in and loving this industry.
We are, and always will be, fully committed to the network marketing business model.
Dave and I didn’t just step into this space yesterday. We’ve spent three decades building businesses, mentoring leaders, and watching lives transform because of the power of network marketing. It’s not just a business model to us—it’s a way of life that has connected us with people all over the world. We’ve seen firsthand how it empowers people from all walks of life to grow not just financially, but personally.
We’ve seen mothers start businesses from their kitchen tables, students finding a way to pay off their loans, and entire families building a legacy they never thought possible.
That’s the beauty of network marketing: It’s about people, community, and lifting each other up. This model allows anyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, to take control of their future.
It’s about teamwork, collaboration, and mentorship—values that are often lost in other business models. This is why we’re so passionate about protecting and upholding this industry we love.
Frequense is a family-owned company, run by Dave and me, without any involvement from private equity. This is a personal journey for our family. Our daughter, Kali Pitcock, has seen firsthand the struggles and triumphs of being part of this industry.
She once said that watching Dave and I rebuild our six-figure income after it was taken from us made her hesitant to pursue the industry initially. She went to medical school seeking stability, but once she entered the workforce, she realized that network marketing offers something truly special: a legacy worth protecting.
She said,
“This is the greatest industry if people just protect the legacy.” And at Frequense, that’s exactly what we’re doing. We believe that together—the field and our family—we can protect this incredible business model and ensure that the legacy of network marketing remains strong for future generations.”
We understand how devastating it can be when a company changes direction after you’ve invested years into building your team and your future. It feels like the rug has been pulled out from under you. Dave and I have been in this space long enough to know the deep sense of loyalty and trust that is built between a company and its leaders. That trust should never be taken for granted.
At Frequense, we are committed to honoring the work of those who’ve built with us. We recognize and respect the sweat, time, and heart that our leaders and builders pour into growing their teams. We stand firm in our dedication to the network marketing model because we know it works—and because we believe in rewarding those efforts with transparency and stability.
Network marketing is more than a paycheck or a transaction. It’s about creating something that matters, something that lasts. It’s about people. Over the years, we’ve watched as competitors in the gig economy have tried to copy pieces of what network marketing offers, but they can never truly replicate the sense of purpose, community, and growth that comes from being part of a team that supports you.
While some companies may be choosing to pivot away from this model, we believe in the power of network marketing now more than ever. It’s a business model that offers not only financial freedom but personal transformation, leadership development, and genuine human connection. In a world that often feels disconnected, network marketing brings people together.
As we look ahead, I want you to know that Frequense is committed to staying true to the values that have made this industry so special. We are here to support those who believe in the power of building teams, of mentoring, and of creating something that goes beyond just business.
We understand the frustration and hurt that comes when a company decides to change course, but I want to assure you that Frequense is here for the long haul. We will continue to reward the team-building efforts of our leaders and affiliates, and we will remain a company that values and respects the hard work that goes into growing a business in this space.
Our mission is clear: to empower people to achieve both personal and financial freedom while fostering a community that uplifts, inspires, and grows together. Dave and I are honored to be part of this incredible industry, and we remain committed to helping others achieve their dreams through the power of network marketing.
With love and gratitude,
Barb Pitcock
