QNET, the prominent Asian Direct Selling company organized a media roundtable in Egypt on the importance of clean water for health and wellness and the role played by NSF International in certifying water treatment products. The guest speaker at this roundtable was Christian Kurdy, Managing Director (Middle East) for NSF International, the Public Health and Safety Organization.
NSF International water programs include testing, certification and auditing for municipal water treatment distribution components and chemicals, plastic piping systems, plumbing fixtures and fittings, and point-of-use and point-of-entry water systems.
Mr. Kurdy spoke about the role of NSF International for consumers and the importance of NSF mark on certified products. His presentation included guidelines for consumers to choose home water filtration systems and the importance of changing filter cartridge on a regular basis. He also spoke about QNet's HomePure, a 7-Stage Water Filtration System and HP Eaze, both products tested and certified against NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 for the reduction of Taste/Odour, Chlorine, Turbidity and VOCs.
He confirmed that based on the tests, QNet's HomePure Water Filters can remove contaminants in water as per claims.
NSF International developed the American National Standards for chemicals and products that come in contact with drinking water (NSF/ANSI 60: Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals – Health Effects; NSF/ANSI 61: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects).
