It took three years for Jeff Simpson and his wife Janella to get back on their feet financially, but it was a simple YES to an opportunity with TLC that has led their marriage and their international business to greater heights.
Jeff and Janella Simpson are familiar faces in the TLC family. After many challenges, including bankruptcy, they decided to give the Network Marketing industry one more chance. Their story has inspired many people and they continue reaping the rewards of opening new markets.
“We started growing a huge organization really quickly. Then we paid off debt that we couldn’t pay off in years! Like our $20k debt to the IRS!,” explains Jeff Simpson. They took a leap of faith, like so many other couples in this industry and their income has since doubled. “It’s been very emotional for us, because now we’ve expanded our business in large volumes internationally, in countries like Martinique, Africa, Jamaica and France; and the success seems surreal,” adds Janella.
One of the biggest highlights of Jeff & Janella’s endeavor in TLC is the success of their international expansion in foreign countries. To name a few: The French Island of Martinique, France, and the United Kingdom. Martinique, a place that reflects a distinctive blend of French and West Indian cultures, has a very unique, but yet successful story. The Simpsons called upon an old friend of over 10 years, a gentleman by the name of Jimmy Hepburn, who took the leadership role of this French island.
The Simpsons sent Jimmy 500 packages of Iaso® Tea just to see what type of responses they would get from the people using the products. There was really no intention on building an organization there at that time. But two weeks later, Mr. Hepburn insisted that they send another 500 bags of tea, because the first 500 went so fast and the customer testimonies were pouring in. Customers were touting incredible results of weight loss, increased energy, and freedom from chronic constipation. These testimonies and results from a natural product were unlike anything seen previously on the island.
Furthermore, the relationship between the Simpsons and Hepburn went from just retailing and distribution to massive team-building. Mr. Hepburn and the Simpsons used their combined MLM experience to build a solid organization in Martinique, now with over 3,000 distributors. The most inspiring element about this success story is that the Simpsons shipped all the products to all of these distributors themselves.
Their basement became a TLC micro-warehouse of products. This is an example of pioneers opening an entire market. As they found a way to work around bumps and hurdles, they discovered a way to successfully get the products to the island and grow a successful organization; including the success of Mr. Hepburn, now a multiple six-figure earner and National Director with TLC.
Another successful international endeavor was the introduction of TLC’s products and business opportunity in France. This organization is now breaking records as the team has quickly grown to over 5,000 distributors under the leadership of the Simpsons, Mr. Jimmy Hepburn and TLC’s National Director in France, Mr. Reda Cherrad. The initiative began when they all took a trip to the corporate office in Michigan. Conversations led to a comprehensive plan to ignite this new market; it is currently producing incredible sales numbers, while its growth in the number of new IBO’s continues to excel.
The Simpsons have also expanded their international presence in the United Kingdom. They are working closely with National Director, Gwen Watson and Regional Director, Judith Buchanan to ensure continued growth; the excitement is more than contagious right now in the UK. Regional Directors, Neville and Paula Sinclair are the epitome of keeping it simple and building the business in the living rooms and dens of their community. Without even hosting a single hotel meeting, this organization has grown to about 2,000 distributors in 20 weeks, which is a testament to the hard work of these individuals.
"The success they are having lends itself to their genuine spirit and ability to communicate with people in smaller settings. My wife and I consider ourselves living room legends too. When we first launched our TLC business, we hosted 3-4 home parties every week. And as our team grew, we started weekly meetings at local hotel conference rooms, which led to joining our Upline sponsor, Ambassador Stormy Wellington to larger meetings in other US cities that we wanted to support as well. This is a very special time for Janella and I, as we reflect on our success and how it has impacted so many others, now on an international scale, it’s just surreal. And the greatest part is, we are just getting started. Janella and I are just hitting our stride right now", explains Jeff Simpson.
Their genuine excitement can be seen across social media and it’s attracting many new customers. In fact, most of their volume and productivity in France and the UK is from retail customers. “We started this business sharing before and after pics on social media and the responses really became viral. We didn’t launch our business with previous team members. Nobody from our past endeavors joined us. My wife and I are truly living proof that drive and determination will prevail in the end,” adds Jeff.
The success and prosperity of the Simpson’s definitely reflects the culture and spirit shared throughout TLC, helping others reach their potential and duplicating success. “We are now in a position where we can change our lives and many others in the process,” concludes Jeff Simpson.
