In her previous job, Erika Delgado worked as a secretary for the Colombian army, earning the equivalent of 400 dollars US per month. Balancing long hours at work and raising two young children was difficult, and she found herself turning into a ‘˜weekend mom.
I left my house in the morning before my kids had woken up, and I arrived late at night when theyd just fallen asleep,’ Erika recalls. I only really saw them on Saturdays, and that tore at me.’ Complicating matters, the Bogota-born and raised Delgado had also recently been transferred by the army to the small city of Yopal.
Delgado knew that staying healthy was the only way she could keep up with these challenges. Shed begun using TLC products on a friends recommendation, and was thrilled by how they made her feel. She began to investigate the business model behind TLC, learning that the company had an office in Colombia.
Alongside her husband, she attended a weekly meeting and fell in love with TLCs compensation plan. She felt inspired and contacted TLC Ambassador , Ana Cantera, who redirected her to her current sponsor, National Director Cristian Prada.
When I joined the industry, I did not know anything about Network Marketing,’ Erika says. I had to do some research on Google. Eventually I just decided to follow my sponsors instructions to the best of my ability. Thats when I realized that this business is not complicated at all: Im a numerical person, and if the numbers give me results then Ill stick with what works.’ She reasoned that if she pitched the TLC plan to 100 people, and of those 100, even ten decided to join, shed make a tidy profit. She boldly quit her secretarial job the day after joining TLC.
Today, the Delgados are a 100% TLC family. Her immediate family currently all live in the same condominium: husband (an Executive Director) and kids; mother (Executive Director) and father (Director); and sister-in-law.

I admire the Founder Jack Fallons humility, and I have a lot of respect for all the corporate staff, especially our Latin American VP Bolo Enriquez; Latin America Manager Alexandra Serna; and Paula Serna, our manager in Colombia. These three people in particular make TLC a family for us.’ Erika believes that any person, no matter their economic or academic level, can develop their business and be successful.
She points to herself as an example, having become a professional Networker earning five figures monthly while having the time to raise her kids. We have one vision: 1,000 families financially free. Its worked for my own, so that leaves 999 families to go. I have around 50 families right now generating from $1,000 to $3,000 USD per month. In the next 12 months we will continue to experience increasing momentum in Colombia. People will be amazed by what we can accomplish.’
