Julio Lama Becomes TLC’s First Male Latin American Ambassador
What do you call the architect of an organization of tens of thousands which has generated more than three million USD over the past three years? Dominicano Julio Lama has been referred to by many names over the course of his life, including businessman, engineer, coach, leader and father. But in the Total Life Changes dictionary, there’s only one word that adequately describes his contributions: Ambassador.
This past month Lama became TLC’s first male Latin American Ambassador, the second highest rank an Independent Business Owner can reach under the company’s compensation model. The accomplishment reflects the vast organization Lama has stewarded, with over one hundred affiliates earning between $10,000 and $250,000 per year in a geographical region in which poverty is widespread. Thanks in part to his work, Latin America has rapidly become a cornerstone of TLC’s global operations.
Prior to joining TLC, Lama had already lived an interesting life by any standard, holding numerous postgraduate degrees in a variety of disciplines while serving as father to three beautiful girls he calls his “princesses.”
His intellectual curiosity and ambition stood to his credit when he began working with TLC as a sideline in June of 2015, considering network marketing a supplement to the income of his successful engineering career. Soon, it would occupy a much larger role in his life.
Like many IBOs, Lama has a personal testimony with TLC products that has helped to fuel his passion to grow the company. “When I started Total Life Changes I weighed around 300 pounds,” he recalls.
“Thanks to the excellence of TLC’s products I have dropped approximately 60 pounds.”
The trimmer Ambassador specifically credits Iaso tea, Resolution, Slim PM, Slim AM and Delgada slimming coffee with his improvement, and notes that many within his organization have similar success stories.
Likewise, he speaks glowingly of the TLC corporate culture. “Many of the benefits were clear to me from day one,” Lama says. “The first things I would point to are the commitment and loyalty TLC has to each of its independent associates, the quality of the products and its sustainable and attractive compensation plan.”
But, as he continued to move up the ranks of the company, he also began to see how the success of his own organization has had a beneficial knock-on effect on his community. “I genuinely believe TLC is bringing hope, health and financial freedom to those with an affinity for direct marketing. As a result of the success of many of my friends and team members, we’re seeing money flowing into our communities in Latin America, which benefits even those outside the TLC network.”
Under Lama’s watch, many in his organization have reached high ranks in their own rights, including a number of National and Global Directors.
“In the short term, I intend to continue creating new leaders and duplicating the vision laid out for me by TLC Founder Jack Fallon,”
says Lama.
“In the long term, I see myself building an organization with over a million independent associates in the next 5 years.”
Based on his success so far, it would be unwise to bet against him.
